Our Company History
H&R Mechanical Contractors, Inc. was formed in 1992 by Martin Hutson and Larry Ross to perform facility maintenance at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, KY. As the Company grew, Charles Walter, of CFO Services, was brought in to implement an accounting system, refine the business plan, and secure a line of credit. Charles was hired as Controller for H&R as the Company diversified their industrial piping installations into several Central Kentucky manufacturing facilities. With continued expansion at the forefront, the Company then moved into Indiana and West Virginia as Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America started production in the respective locations. In early 2000, Charles acquired 100% ownership of H&R, and began to further expand the Company’s customer base. After being awarded work at AM General-Hummer and Hyundai Motor Manufacturing, John Walsh, VP of Operations and Estimating, and Jesse Wireman, VP of Project Management, each acquired 10% ownership of the Company, which secured the intellectual capital for continued growth. In September of 2006, the company moved into a new shop that was built to better suit customer and company needs. As H&R moves to the future, new markets are being explored.
